Personally, I feel the rim of the NASOTA 565 is smoother and fits my lips better.

The name NASOTA is inspired by the title of a euphonium sonata composed by signature artist Hidenori Arai himself. His works evoke various scenes, such as the colorfulness of crayons, the fun of a toy box turned upside down, and nostalgic childhood landscapes. The NASOTA mouthpiece was born to bring out the full charm of these works.

This mouthpiece, with its extremely flat yet not sharp rim and its soloistic tone, breathes new life into the euphonium. The NASOTA 565 α, made with α material that has undergone special heat treatment, offers a richer resonance, a mellower attack, and the ability to withstand extreme volume (fff) without cracking.
