World Limited Edition of 20 units (Not released in Japan)! Besson 180th Anniversary Baritone Horn, Brand New Unused
Besson 180th Anniversary Baritone Horn, brand new and unused. This commemorative model saw a total production of 180 instruments across cornets, alto horns, baritone horns, euphoniums, and tubas.
Of these, only 20 baritone horns were produced worldwide, and this model was not released in Japan.
The baritone horn is an indispensable instrument in brass bands (British-style brass bands) and has a brighter tone than the euphonium.
The base model is the BE-955, featuring Besson's signature satin silver finish, and it comes with a special serial number. This instrument might be number 13.
Included accessories are a limited edition dedicated case (royal blue), a limited edition mouthpiece (gold-plated rim, satin silver elsewhere), a protective bag, a cloth, a lyre (music holder), valve oil, and an instruction manual.
This instrument was directly sourced from the UK. Considering that the domestic list price for the standard BE-955 was ¥1,005,400 last year and increased to ¥1,051,600, and that Yamaha's comparable 3-piston comp model increased from ¥726,000 to ¥836,000 last year, I believe this is quite a bargain. (Currently, with the pound at around ¥210, it's a significant depreciation against the yen compared to the dollar or euro, and the pound is still trending upwards.)
I recall that mouthpieces alone, as well as cornets and euphoniums, were sold domestically.
Wouldn't you like to become the owner of one of only 20 instruments in the world?
