Hamilton Euphonium 3 Valve 3 Piston With Mouthpiece Case
■ Hamilton Euphonium Color/Gold With Dedicated Case and Mouthpiece Set
★ This is a 3-piston euphonium purchased as a used instrument from an online shop.
★ When removing the 2nd piston and applying valve oil, then returning the piston, it is difficult to insert as the inside of the valve casing is stiff. Once inserted, the piston moves smoothly. As it is a bottom spring type, it is thought that measures such as applying oil from the bottom cap side (lower side) would be effective, but it is believed that adjustments such as polishing the inside of the casing may be necessary.
★ There is no sticking on other pistons or slide tubes.
★ There are partial rust spots, plating dullness, and scuff marks (see image 8).
★ The included mouthpiece has no markings (it shows signs of use).
★ Pitch has been confirmed through playing. As I am a trumpet player, I could not produce a wide range of notes, so the confirmation was for a scale of about two octaves, from low C to high C.
★ The dedicated case has white paint-like stains, scuff marks, and tears in the inner urethane cover, causing the internal cushioning material (styrofoam board) to detach and peel off (see image 15). Overall, it shows noticeable scuff marks and signs of use.
★ Please consider this if you are not particular about brands, or if you are looking for a practice instrument for home or want to start playing the euphonium. As this is a used instrument, please understand that there may be overlooked details regarding its condition.
★ The instrument has been simply cleaned overall, the mouthpiece has been disinfected with alcohol, and it will be shipped from the post office via YuYu Mercari便.
