Yacht: YAMAHA Y-13 Cicara
YAMAHA's renowned boat, the Y-13 Shikara, a 2-3 person sloop dinghy.
Length: 4.09m, Beam: 1.68m
Ready to sail as is.
The bottom was painted because the gel coat had significant fading.
Comes with 2 sets of sails; 3428 is the original sail.
A flotation device (pulp) can be attached to the mainsail to prevent capsizing, but it does not guarantee against complete capsizing (flipping over).
It also has reef points, allowing for reefing (reducing sail area). (Reefing and then capsizing will result in a complete capsize.)
The centerboard gasket is slightly torn, so water may spray from the center case when the boat gains speed.
The self-bailer has a deformation, and it is likely not fully watertight or draining properly.
A used bailer is included as a bonus, so please replace it if you are not satisfied.
The boat has been bumped against a pier or similar object near the center of the left side of the hull. If this is a concern, consider using putty or FRP repair.
The boat stand and boat cover shown in the photos can be provided if needed. If not needed, we will dispose of them. (The zipper on the cover is torn.)
We can perform gasket repairs and bailer replacements for an additional fee, but they are not difficult, and we can provide instructions on how to do them.
Delivery is generally not possible. Handover will be in Otsu City, Lake Biwa.
Cannot be cartopped. A 2-ton long flatbed truck or similar vehicle is required.
We will assist with loading, of course.
