Synopsis
Tsumetai Tsuki is a television drama that aired on the NTV network from January 12 to March 16, 1998.
In this drama, Kiyoka Shiina, played by Akina Nakamori, was living happily with her husband, Kohei Shiina, a popular news anchor played by Takuro Tatsumi.
Shortly after, Kiyoka becomes pregnant, and it seems that even greater happiness awaits them. However, Kohei is involved in a hit-and-run accident on a rainy night. Facing arrest, Kohei impulsively commits suicide. Devastated by the shock, Kiyoka miscarries her unborn child.
Having lost the will to live, Kiyoka one day accidentally learns that it was Misaki Morishita, played by Hiromi Nagasaku, who reported Kohei's hit-and-run. Kiyoka moves into the apartment next door to Misaki's, and thus begins a terrifying and tragic revenge drama. Misaki is driven to the brink mentally by various forms of harassment, and her plight becomes intertwined with the drama's rising tension.
Akina Nakamori's song Kishin ~Never Forget was used as the theme song for this drama, also becoming a topic of conversation along with the series.
