The ZEN-ON Bass Recorder 5500B is a Japanese-made wooden recorder made from cherry wood. This model is no longer in production but is highly regarded for its high-quality tone.

Material: Made from luxurious cherry wood (wooden). This is praised for its clear, well-defined tone with good articulation, compared to maple, making it suitable for bass parts.
Fingering: Baroque system.
Design: Straight blow type without a mouthpiece. The finger rest has a holder hole for attaching a neck strap, such as those used for saxophones or bassoons.
