YAMAHA Bass Recorder YRB42
This is a YAMAHA bass recorder.
There are small chips in the paint, but the pads and joint corks are in good condition, and there are no cracks in the body. It plays without issue from the lowest to the highest notes.
The thumbhole (rear hole) also shows only minor paint chipping and no significant wear. The hole does not appear to be widened to the extent that it would affect intonation.
The accessories shown in the photos are:
- Cleaning rod
- Strap
- Cork grease (partially used)
All are believed to be genuine YAMAHA products.
I have owned this for some time and used it a few times in recorder ensembles. However, I have fewer opportunities to play it now and am selling it as part of a decluttering effort.
It has a warm tone, characteristic of wooden instruments.
I hope it finds its way to someone who will use it.
