♥ Celebrating Jackie Chan's 71st Birthday!

Please note that as this is an old VHS tape, there may be some minor video flickering and slight coarseness in picture quality. However, there are no major damages such as tape winding issues that would affect playback. The case and the video cassette tape itself show signs of age-related dirt and wear (the jacket/illustration version has some fading), but there are no rental store management stickers on the jacket or the cassette tape.

Please consider this information before making a purchase.

▶ Main Cast
★ Jackie Chan (known for Snake in the Eagle's Shadow, etc.)
★ Mako Iwamatsu (known for The Sand Pebbles, etc.)

◎ This film is Jackie Chan's first starring role in Hollywood, produced in 1980 when he was 26 years old, with the same production staff as Enter the Dragon (Producer: Fred Weintraub, Raymond Chow; Director: Robert Clouse; Music: Lalo Schifrin!).
Set in 1930s Chicago, Jerry (Jackie Chan), the second son of a Chinese family running a diner, is a young man skilled in martial arts. Noticing his fighting prowess, mafia boss Dominici plots to enter him into a martial arts championship held in Battle Creek, Texas, to fight against the bodyguards of a rival gang. With his sister-in-law taken hostage by Dominici, Jerry reluctantly enters the championship and defeats strong opponents one after another. However, just before the final match, his martial arts master and uncle, Herbert (Mako), is kidnapped by the enemy.
Jackie's comedic style, established and perfected in the films Snake in the Eagle's Shadow and Drunken Master by Yuen Woo-ping, might be slightly toned down in this first American production? Also, the performances of Bruce/Brandon Lee's father and son, and Mako Iwamatsu, who co-stars with Jackie Chan in this film, are highlights.

For fans of Hong Kong cinema (Jackie Chan) who wish to experience it with the nostalgic retro feel of VHS tapes from that era, this is a must-have for your collection.
Additionally, I apologize, but I cannot accommodate price negotiations or create dedicated pages. Thank you for your understanding. m(_ _)m
