Antique E & H T Anthony Contact Printing Frame, Photography Darkroom Frame
Authentic antique wooden contact printing frame dating to the late 19th or early 20th century. Originally used by photographers to create contact prints by securing a glass plate negative and photographic paper together using the original brass spring bars before exposing the frame to sunlight. Features a solid wood frame, original brass spring bars and hardware, and original wavy glass. A wonderful piece of early photography history that also makes a striking display item for collectors, darkroom enthusiasts, or antique décor. Condition: The original antique glass has a crack (shown in photos). The crack does not affect the antique hardware or overall display value, and the original brass spring bars, wood frame, and backing remain intact. The frame retains its wonderful aged patina and is sold as found.
