I tend to have a sensitive nose when it comes to the smell of smoke and did notice a smoke smell on the original styrofoam packaging. Please make note of this before purchase, as if you are adverse to this smell, you will not want to purchase this specific item. I chose to leave it in that packaging to keep it safe while shipping, and have placed dryer sheets inside the box to help soak up some of that scent. Other that that this items comes in great condition, and also comes with original light cord.
