Vintage / Antique Hills Bros San Francisco Fair vintage condition. Please see all photos and description. ACCEPTING OFFERS! 💕 3lb coffee canister / tin. Metal construction. Printing onto the metal. This is a vintage coffee can, so it already showed normal vintage wear for its age. But since then, I used it as a planter pot for a spider plant. I did hammer some drainage holes in the bottom. The inside is VERY rusty, obviously from watering plants. Rust, iron oxide, can actually be a beneficial micronutrient for plants! I had no issues growing plants despite the rust. The metal is still very strong and sturdy. It’s just a layer of surface rust. Honestly, the rust gives it that imperfect, lived in look that’s perfect for boho / eclectic / hippie style homes! Fun fact: these coffee cans were produced in the 1920’s and 1930’s, and their production halted with metal shortages during WWII! Which means this can is sitting pretty at right around 100 years old! Measures approximately 7 inches tall and 6 inches across. *I have included a photo with a plant inside to give an idea of how good it looks as a planter!
