Showa Retro: Grand Sumo Yokozuna Signed Furoshiki - Tochigiyama, Wakanohana, Chōshō, Taihō, Kashiwado, Kitafuji, Wajima, Kitanoumi
This is a Sumo Yokozuna furoshiki (wrapping cloth). The color is blue.
I believe I purchased it as a souvenir at the Kuramae Kokugikan in either 1974 or 1975.
It features autographs from Yokozuna from the Showa 30s and 40s (1955-1975).
The 12 wrestlers are: Tochinishiki, Wakanohana, Asashio, Kashiwado, Taiho, Tochinoumi, Sadatayama, Kitafuji, Tamanoumi, Kotozakura, Wajima, and Kitanoumi.
The material is nylon. The size is approximately 70 x 70 cm. Please allow for slight variations.
It is unused but has been stored at home for a long time. There are folds. Please understand and acknowledge this.
It can be used as a furoshiki, but I think it would also look nice displayed as a tapestry.
