Mini Kimono Stand for Fuu-san (Mini Kimono Display Stand) k119
This is a mini kimono stand for mini kimonos, custom-made at the request of Fuu-san.
Small size
Width: 36 cm
Height: 36 cm
Base: 10 cm x 10 cm
Weight: 154 grams
Large size
Width: 40 cm
Height: 40 cm
Base: 10 cm x 10 cm
Weight: 200-215 grams
The base is made of heavy hardwood (oak) for stability, and the arms are made of lightweight pine. The vertical rod is a 10mm diameter round bar purchased from a home improvement store, and its material is unknown.
The vertical rod can be inserted into the round holes of the base and arms for a secure fit, but using adhesive will further enhance stability.
However, keeping it detachable makes it easier to change kimonos and transport.
This is in response to the comment on mini kimono stand k97:
I would like to order one of these and six of the 40x40 size. Please take your time.
Each item is handmade, so there may be some areas that turned out well and others that are not quite perfect. All photos show the actual product. Please zoom in to check.
The price is calculated as per the estimate:
Small size: 1900 yen
Large size: 2300 yen x 6
For reference, I have included photos of this product displaying a mini kimono made by a friend.
To help you visualize the size, I have taken photos with items like tea, but the product only includes one small mini kimono stand and six large ones as shown in the first photo.
Incidentally, the mini kimono stand shown in the background is the same size and shape as one my friend bought at a craft store about 10 years ago for 2800 yen. It was the first mini kimono stand I made for my friend.
When I asked at the craft store if they still sold them a few years later, they said they no longer did. My friend then asked if I could make one, which led to me making this type of item.
To reduce shipping costs, which would be higher if the corner rods were attached with screws, I devised a way to create the current take-copter shape.
Kimono stand, mini kimono stand, Hina Matsuri, take-copter, Jinbaori stand, costume stand, Children's Day, Hina doll display, hanger, handmade woodworking, Jinbaori, handmade wooden crafts, mini kimono, Hifu stand, O-hifu, Hifu stand, O-hifu, Hifu stand, first celebration, O-hifu
