Vintage French 18K Yellow Gold Wire Horse Pendant, Owl Hallmark (2.75" x 2")

A galloping silhouette in bent gold wire, all fluid lines and playful energy. This oversized pendant captures a horse in profile: pricked ears, flowing mane, arched neck. The entire piece is constructed from hand-shaped 18k yellow gold wire, soldered at the joints and left open within the body for a light, sketch-like feel. A tiny ball forms the eye. The scale-to-hand photos show just how substantial this pendant is (nearly three inches tall), but the airy construction keeps it wearable rather than heavy. Light surface wear consistent with age (visible as faint scratches in close-up photos). All solder joints intact. No dents, no repairs. This one almost didn't make it out of my personal collection. The whimsy, the scale, the fact that it's French-hallmarked solid gold but feels more like a sketch than a casting. It's a statement piece that doesn't take itself too seriously.
