This is a coaster featuring the iconic Art Nouveau style Tournée Du Chat Noir print by artist Théophile-Alexandre Steinlen, original to advertise the traveling shadow theater troupe from Rodolphe Salis’ famous Montmartre cabaret, Le Chat Noir. It is renowned for its stylized, moody black cat and bold typography, representing the bohemian spirit of 1890s Paris. This coaster is by Art and Stone, made from tumbled marble with a cork backing to prevent slipping. Each side measures approximately 3.75 inches and it’s about 1/3 of an inch thick.
