Oshima Tsumugi

Amongst Tsumugi, Oshima Tsumugi is known as the Yokozuna of the West, in contrast to the Yuki Tsumugi of the East. It offers a pleasant rustling sound and a light hem. It can be worn like a suit while still being a kimono, and it is resistant to rain and wrinkles. This comfortable and stylish kimono is made with intricate kasuri patterns and weaving techniques. That is Oshima Tsumugi.

Oshima Tsumugi is a pre-dyed woven fabric. The pre-dyed yarn has impurities removed, resulting in a high-density and strong yarn. Also, mud-dyed Oshima Tsumugi undergoes a dyeing process using sharinbai (wheel plum) and mud for 120 times, so it is said to have the highest fastness in plant dyeing.

【Condition】

Although the basting thread is not attached, it is almost unused.
The haori string is attached.
The lining is navy cotton fabric.
The haori lining pattern is a lucky pattern of Fuji, hawk feathers, and eggplant.
The haori lining is silk fabric.
