Raku Pottery Vase Jeff Hale Studio OOAK Vessel Pot Signed 1992 As Found
This is by artist Jeff Hale, he was (is?) a longtime artist in Michigan and Tennessee. This stoneware pot is wheel thrown and raku fired to create a thin glaze finish that features the unique crackle pattern you see. Features an unglazed black band and base. This is a gorgeous display piece and is signed & dated on the bottom. Size: approx. 4.25 h x 5.5 w Condition: There are a several small spots along the rim where the glaze has been damaged and is missing, also a larger spot (about .25) & another smaller spot on the side. This is not surprising as raku glaze is very, very thin and damage easily if you are not careful with it. The color of the raw clay is fortunately the same as the glaze so the missing glaze is nothing I consider noticeable. There are a couple small spots where there is a brownish color under the glaze, part of how it was made but I wanted to mention it. Please review all photos. Delivery: Carefully packaged & shipped from eastern TN to your door with no handling fees added. Will be sent via USPS ground advantage insured to save you $$. If you need priority or express please message me prior to purchase. Keats said A thing of beauty is a joy forever. Each of us has a different idea of what beauty is.
