N/A 🇹🇷Turkish tapestry from the Grand Bazaar in Istanbul. Old Vintage. Velvet trim

I bought this very long time ago in Istanbul at the Grand Bazaar. Best shopping anywhere!! Textile porn lol. So many beautiful handmade one of a kind treasures. I’ve brought back so so many over the decades. This old faded beauty depicts 2 guys on their horses. A mosque behind and a couple ladies. Palm trees and buildings. This has a few stains that I can see. Look like water marks. Tried to capture in the pics. For a decade in NYC I had this in front of- hiding- my TV. Then I used long ribbons to tie it up above. Now it’s in my kitchen. I have several so this is going. I had the rich chocolate brown velvet trim added. It’s a stunning piece in my opinion. I’ve loved it for a long long time. I have a huge old one hanging on my bathroom wall and this would be great like that too. 49” tall. 43” wide. The top hanger loops, as well as the boarders are 4”. I hope it finds someone who adores it! The tassel hanging rod is not included. I had it dry cleaned last year. I do that every few years w my tapestries.
