Bradley & Hubbard
Antique Bradley & Hubbard Table Mirror-Art Nouveau Oak Leaf-Easel Frame-Vanity
Ornate antique tabletop mirror by the distinguished American maker Bradley & Hubbard, founded in Meriden, Connecticut in 1852 and celebrated for finely cast decorative metalwork during the late Victorian and early Art Nouveau periods. This elegant easel mirror features richly detailed oak leaves and acorns surrounding a classical urn crest, a motif popular in nature-inspired design of the late 19th to early 20th century. The reverse bears the B&H maker’s stamp confirming authenticity. Such mirrors were often placed on vanities, dressing tables, or parlor mantels where their sculptural frames served as decorative accents as much as functional mirrors. Dimensions: 12 tall × 9 wide × 4 deep including easel leg. Condition: Good antique condition with beautiful aged patina to the gilt finish. Original mirror shows light desilvering and spotting consistent with age, most noticeable in the lower right corner. Frame remains structurally solid and displays wonderfully.
