Izumo Taisha Suwasha Purification Sand with Brochure, Both Visits Completed, Bakabake Flyer Bonus ③
On November 23, 2025, which corresponds to Kannazuki (the month when the gods gather) in the lunar calendar, we received sand at Inasa-no-hama beach. On the 24th, we offered this sand at Sogano-yashiro shrine and then received sand from there to take home.
We also visited Miho Shrine to pay our respects, completing a double pilgrimage.
[It is said that the deities enshrined at Miho Shrine are the wife and child of Okuninushi-no-Mikoto. In Shimane Prefecture, it is believed that visiting Izumo Taisha Shrine (the parent deity) first, followed by Miho Shrine (the wife and child deities), makes wishes more likely to come true.]
[Example Usage]
Purifying Sand can be used in various ways, such as for good luck charms, warding off evil, or purification.
1. As a good luck charm: Place a small amount in a charm bag and carry it with you.
2. For purification and warding off evil at home:
For residences such as apartments, divide the purifying sand into four portions and place each in a small dish or bottle. Place these portions at the four corners of your home.
Sprinkling it at the entrance or in the garden is also believed to ward off evil and bring good fortune.
3. It is also said to be effective to sprinkle a small amount on vehicles such as cars and bicycles for purification.
4. Sprinkle a little on potted plants to sanctify them.
5. Offer it at the family altar to pray for peace and prosperity within the home.
6. Sprinkle it on fields to pray for a bountiful harvest and to draw out the blessings of the earth.
And so on.
As this was obtained during Kannazuki, it carries the blessings of all the gods in Japan.
This would be an unparalleled good luck charm for students preparing for exams.
As a bonus, we also visited the filming locations for the morning drama Babake and will include the pamphlet we received there.
Please refrain from price reductions.
Immediate purchase is welcome.
This is as attractive as, or even more so than, Izumo Taisha Shrine amulets.
Every November, there is a festival during Kannazuki.
