This mask is sized for adults, but it's slightly smaller than a full face.
Every time I see my sons playing sword fighting with fox masks that cover their entire faces, I think, Wow, their faces look so big... So maybe this mask is the better choice.
It's lightweight and has a texture similar to *hariko* (papier-maché), but it's likely made using a pulp molding technique.
*Hariko* involves layering thin paper, whereas this method seems to involve pouring pulp onto a mold and drying it. So, please be aware if you're looking for a traditional *hariko* item!
Most fox masks are of the white fox type, so a fox-colored one feels a bit unusual. ^_^
The painting, including the gradation around the eyes and the whiskers, is nicely done.
