24 Free-Range Eggs from Akita
Thank you for viewing.
These are eggs (unfertilized) from Momiji chickens raised in a free-range environment.
Our chickens are raised freely in Kazuno City, Akita Prefecture, located on the border of Aomori and Iwate Prefectures.
We feed them primarily with ingredients sourced within the city, valuing local circulation and the utilization of underused resources.
◆ Basic Feed ◆
[Produced/Sourced within Kazuno City] Rice bran, okara from tofu makers, dried noodles from noodle factories, lettuce from vegetable production facilities, etc.
[Added seasonally (from Kazuno City)] Cucumbers, radishes, blueberries
[Commercially available] Oyster shells
We hand-polish each egg after collection, but if you find any shell dirt concerning, please wash it off.
We recommend cooking them thoroughly. (In fact, we believe fried eggs or rolled omelets will taste even better and more refined.)
Sizes range from S to L.
Expiration Date: 2 weeks from the date of collection (indicated on the package).
After the expiration date, or if the shells are cracked, please cook them thoroughly and consume them as soon as possible.
After arrival, please store the eggs in the refrigerator (below 10°C).
We have confirmed with the public health center that no notification is required for the sale of chicken eggs.
Shipping will be via Yamato Transport at room temperature. Please note that we may use recycled cardboard boxes for shipping.
