Yamagata Prefecture "Super Discount" Benisayaka Cherries - 800g (for processing)
Shelf life: 1 day from shipping
These are Benisayaka cherries, mixed sizes, with some cracked due to rain.
We have removed any cherries with mold when packing, but some may develop mold during shipping. This product is for those who can wash the cherries and carefully cut away any moldy parts.
Please use these for making jam, cherry wine, or other processed goods.
Payment via convenience store is strictly prohibited. Shipping to regions that take more than two days for delivery is also strictly prohibited.
If payment via convenience store is not made immediately, an empty box will be sent. By purchasing with convenience store payment, you agree to this condition.
These will be shipped via compact delivery. As they are perishable, please gently wash them in cool water immediately upon arrival before use.
Shipping may be delayed depending on harvest conditions.
As these are fresh produce, returns or refunds are not accepted. Please be aware of this.
We apologize, but we cannot accept requests for specific sizes or delivery times. We may also be unable to respond to comments. Please keep this in mind.
Cherries deteriorate over time. They are most delicious when eaten immediately after harvest, but their quality declines with time. Therefore, we recommend this product for customers in regions that can receive delivery within one day of shipping from Yamagata.
Eating too many cherries at once can cause an upset stomach. Please consume in moderation.
Our farm is one of the oldest cherry farms in Japan, having received an award at an exposition during the Taisho era. For over a century since the first cherry saplings were planted on our farm, five generations of Ichiroemon have dedicated themselves to perfecting our craft.
Our farm has a bamboo grove, through which a small stream flows, leading to a sacred forest of trees hundreds of years old. Within this sacred area, Japanese honeybees, whose extinction is a concern, inhabit and help pollinate our cherries. One of the photos shows the rare sight of a swarm of these bees.
Our farm has practiced cyclical agriculture for a long time, relying on natural methods rather than herbicides. This allows for the long-term coexistence of Japanese honeybees and medaka fish, both of which are threatened by pesticides.
Features: Direct from farm, imperfect produce
