The current condition is as shown in the images.
Upon arrival, please check the condition. If still green, allow them to ripen further. If already ripe, you can enjoy them as is.
Some may arrive overripe.
They are sweet and ready to eat when they turn yellow and begin to develop black sugar spots.
Apple bananas are named for their refreshing tartness. They are characterized by their relatively small size. When ripe, their moderate tartness and sweetness will make you appreciate the rich banana flavor. This is still a rare variety in Japan.

The black spots on the peel are from the sap that came out of the banana when it was detached. It is not mold.
