This is a Willinckii Dwarf Tatsuta mounted on cork, acquired as a seedling.
It's in its 4th year of cultivation, and the water-storing leaves are currently expanding, so you can rest assured about the root development.
There is no insect damage that I am aware of from indoor cultivation, but as it is a plant, please purchase with the understanding that there is always a risk of insects, and that changes may occur, including leaf development.
