KOKUYO Negative Film Case (7cm thick)
Currently, I store everything on my smartphone and back it up to a disk periodically out of fear of losing it. But how do you store old film photos?
Before smartphones, I stored negatives of my children's milestones in two of these Kokuyo boxes.
When I started using a smartphone, I bought an extra box of these negative film storage boxes just in case, right before they disappeared from the market.
However, I managed to fit everything into the two boxes, and I thought my children might need them in the future... so I considered if I could further reduce the contents of the two boxes by being more selective. As a result, I left this one box unused.
Even though current negatives might not be developable in the future, if I discard them, a part of my past will disappear... but then again, I don't know when current media like smartphones will become obsolete.
If I were to discard all the precious early film from my father's and grandfather's eras, it would be like losing memories... I struggle between technological advancement and preservation, wondering what to select and leave behind for my children and grandchildren.
This box can hold a significant amount, equivalent to many developed albums, which would allow for slimmer albums.
I am listing this item as a baton pass to someone who will make good use of this film storage box.
How about using this during the long New Year's holiday break, perhaps during one of the nine consecutive days, to organize your remaining negative films?
