3-leaf cutting, Ryukyu morning glory. Grow side shoots and climb to create a green curtain.
This is a set of 3 rooted seedlings of perennial morning glories, known as Ocean Blue for their beautiful blue-purple color. The leaves are still sparse, but don't worry. You can expect them to grow well from here.
The flowers are a more intense blue during their peak season. They are hardy, and their spade (heart) shaped, thick, and large leaves make for an impressive green curtain. The color is a purplish-blue in summer and takes on a reddish hue in autumn.
We believe they are a good size for rooting easily. They bloom until late autumn and early winter, giving a sense of being out of season. Please plant them when they are small and let them grow. You can increase the number of flowers by cutting the vines slightly above a leaf and encouraging side shoots.
If you cover the base of the plant with something during winter, it will sprout the following year, and its roots will thicken and produce more flowers each year.
We will ship them using the 4th class plant mail service, ensuring the roots are kept moist.
