Green Shiso Chirimen Seeds - 50 Seeds
Open-pollinated (Domestic Seed, Untreated Seeds)
● Characteristics
The leaves are large, green, with slightly wavy edges and some chirimen (crinkled) indentations. They are large-leafed, tender, and have a unique, pleasant aroma. They can be used in various ways, such as for garnishes, tempura, or rolled with shiso.
● Cultivation Guide
Sowing: 3-7 in warm regions / 5-6 in cool regions (Ideal temperature: 15-25℃)
Tip: These are light-loving seeds. Cover with only 1-2mm of soil and keep moist until germination. Pinching: When the plant reaches 25-30cm in height (about 10 leaves), pinch off the tip of the main stem. This will encourage the growth of side shoots, allowing for a larger harvest.
?Pro Tip for Enjoying Shiso Long and Deliciously?
- Tip for Preserving Aroma: Shiso varieties can cross-pollinate easily, and those that sprout naturally from fallen seeds each year may gradually lose their fragrance. To fully enjoy that wonderful aroma, we recommend [replacing your seeds with new ones every 3-5 years].
- Seed Storage: If you plan to store seeds for a while, we recommend placing them in a paper bag and storing them in a can or airtight container in the [refrigerator] (this prevents deterioration due to high summer temperatures).
- Trick for Even Germination: About 1-2 weeks before sowing, take the seeds out of the refrigerator and [let them return to room temperature]. This will gently awaken the seeds and promote more uniform germination.
Carrying the resonance of pleasant sounds ?:*
Before shipping, I gently expose the seeds to the vibrations of a tuning fork that plays frequencies of love and harmony (such as 528Hz and 888Hz), wishing that the seeds will grow vigorously and healthily in your care. I send them out with all my heart, carried by pleasant vibrations.
*Shipping will be via Fourth Class Mail in a small bag. (No compensation, 3-7 days)
