Pre-war, Post-war Firefighting Blazer Uniforms - Set of 2 - Stage Costume

This was found in my grandfather's storage.
I'm not very familiar with it, but he worked for the fire department, so I believe it's likely his uniform.
It has been dry-cleaned, but shows signs of age-related deterioration, has a name embroidered on it, and is a heavy jacket.
This is a set of two, one gray and one navy.
Would be great for collectors or as a costume for a stage play.
The sleeves have a stylish design, and it's a uniform from the good old days of Japan.
