The flowers bloom larger than wild Japanese dogtooth violets and bloom a little later. As of April 12th, the buds are shown in the second photo. They have been planted under roses as ground cover for over 10 years, along with Christmas roses, and have multiplied over time, making their current location crowded. The bulbs have also grown quite large. Once purchased, they will be dug up from the garden, the leaves removed, and only the bulbs will be shipped. Please refrain from purchasing if you are concerned about soil or insect debris.
We kindly ask that you refrain from inquiries about the condition of the roots or leaves after purchase, as we are simply digging up and shipping the plants. We are not experts and cannot provide accurate answers. We apologize for any inconvenience.
*We will send the bulbs with buds and leaves attached, but we cannot guarantee against damage. We will ship via Nekoposu for faster delivery, not the 4th class mail. Considering potential damage during transit, please consider these for next spring. If there is minimal damage, you may be able to see flowers this year. Small seedlings with roots and two leaves may be attached to the bulbs; these are young seedlings that grow until Christmas, as seen in the corner of the first photo.
