This is a bulb of Polyxena pygmaea.

Polyxena is a small bulbous plant native to the South African continent.
It seems to be currently classified under the genus Lachenalia, but as it has grown into a very good bulb, I am listing it under its original name, Polyxena.
This pygmaea variety has thick, two-lobed leaves and produces pink and white flowers with a pleasant fragrance.
As shown in the flowering photo, this is a variety with basically succulent, thick, two-lobed leaves that are pinkish in color. However, there are slight variations in flower color, ranging from pale pink to slightly darker pink.
Cultivation is easy if you provide a well-draining environment.
We plant ours from mid to late September, and they bloom from mid-November.
The bulb shown in the 4th photo will be shipped via 4th class mail.
