Why not start with a small amount?
This is a very convenient green onion to have on hand for miso soup or cold tofu.
It can be grown in the ground or in a planter. We highly recommend starting with a small amount, as the number of bulbs will increase as it repeatedly divides!
The above-ground parts will wither in winter and summer, but new shoots will emerge from the bulbs again in spring and autumn. There are two harvest seasons per year.
