Notes: These are 'hicobae' (suckers) that have grown from the side of the parent tree.
Some will have many roots, while others will have fewer.
The parent tree is a healthy, over 40-year-old large tree with no signs of disease.
Unlike cuttings or grafted saplings, hicobae have very strong root systems and grow quickly.
We will dig up the roots just before same-day shipping, soak them in water for about an hour, and then pack them. They will be placed in a bag with damp paper towels and no soil, then put into a box.
Depending on the size of the roots, we may bend or adjust them slightly to fit into a Nekoposu or Takkyubin Compact box.
If you prefer not to have them bent or want to use regular Takkyubin with a specified delivery date, we can accommodate this with shipping charges collect.
