KAMI (日と月 - Sun and Moon)
Since the late 1990s, KAMI has been creating art primarily in Tokyo and around the world. He established an abstract painting style using smooth curves, neither purely textual nor figurative, and has had a significant impact on the street art scene. KAMI's style, characterized by curves and a unique sense of space, embodies the emotional landscapes of his native Kyoto and the physical sensations and experiences gained through skateboarding, which he encountered in his youth. His work transcends time, flowing smoothly to create deep and powerful pieces that reflect his daily life.
He began his career in '99 as an original member of the NY-based artist collective 'BARNSTORMERS'.
In recent years, he has also been actively working with his partner SASU as 'HITOTZUKI', leaving new scenery on the canvases of city walls.
[Precautions]
- Do not use metal scouring pads or cleansers on painted items.
- This is not heat-resistant porcelain, so please do not place it over direct heat or use it in an oven.
