Petrea volubilis Purple 2
This is a seedling of Petrea volubilis.
It is in a 9cm pot and measures 30cm from the bottom of the pot to the top.
Photographed on June 5th.
This climbing flowering plant originates from the West Indies to northern Brazil and produces flowers full of elegance, earning it the English name Queen's Wreath.
Its leaves are rough like sandpaper, giving it the nickname Sandpaper Vine.
It blooms sporadically, but primarily in spring and autumn, producing racemes about 30cm long at the tips of its vines.
The flowers are deep blue-purple, with the paler blue-purple parts at the back being the sepals.
Location: Full sun
Watering: Water thoroughly when the surface of the soil in the pot dries out.
Fertilizer: Apply slow-release fertilizer about once every two months during the growing season from May to October.
Winter care: Bring indoors to protect from frost.
Keep the soil in the pot slightly dry.
We will ship on Mondays and Fridays by the 4th class mail service after lightly removing some soil.
Please understand that the seedling may be damaged during shipping.
As this is standard mail, delivery may take up to a week.
If you are concerned about delivery, we can change to express shipping or RakuRaku Mercari delivery.
