Benefits of Black Back:
The adhesive side (the side that contacts the glass) of this tape is black.
Improved Aesthetics: When used with highly transparent glass such as clear glass, the black underside of the tape appears through the glass, blending in like a shadow and becoming less noticeable.
Compatibility with Finishing: If you plan to finish the solder lines by darkening them with a chemical called patina, the tape's underside will blend with the solder color, resulting in a very beautiful finish.
