【Showa Retro】Beautiful Royal Blue Spoon & Fork Shell Motif Enamel
Drawn in by a deep blue that seems to stop time.
A striking spoon and fork with shell motifs on the handles and guilloché engraving visible beneath the blue.
These are vintage cutlery pieces born in Tsubame City, Niigata Prefecture, a city renowned worldwide for its metalworking, during the Showa era, crafted by artisans.
They feature enamel coloring decorations, created with time and effort, which cannot be replicated in today's mass-produced items.
The beauty of the wave-like patterns, reminiscent of the sea, shimmering and appearing depending on the angle of the light, is simply mesmerizing.

But, above all else...
―?― The Royal Blue Color ―?―
I believe this is the ultimate description.
[From the Seller]
Based on the shape and design, I believe these may be from the highest-end line, Jewel Sparkle, developed by Sakuray Co., Ltd., a long-established company in Tsubame City, during the 1965-1974 period.
The V-shaped scale pattern (guilloché engraving) clearly visible beneath the blue is a design characteristic of true cloisonné enamel, which involves firing glass at 800 degrees Celsius.
The cold touch also contributes to this impression.
However, as I cannot be completely certain, I am listing them as beautiful royal blue cutlery.
I also noticed the silver finish the day after polishing. A faint black haze appeared that wasn't there the previous night, leading me to realize it was silver plating.
*The candy pot used in photo 8 is a photographic prop.
It is not included.
It would also look lovely paired with items like the Ice Rose listed separately.
