Asakusabashi Morihei Finishing Stone #12000
Asakusabashi Morihei (MORIHEI) Hi #12000 Made in Japan Sharpening Stone
[Size (approx.)] 210 x 75 x 25mm
[Weight (approx.)] 830g
Features:
With natural whetstones becoming scarce, after 5 years of trial and error, Morihei's 4th generation president, Mr. Oguro of Asakusabashi, Tokyo, has finally completed an original synthetic whetstone with stable quality by blending high-quality natural stones and firing at low temperatures.
Unlike general synthetic whetstones, there is no need to soak it in water for a long time before sharpening; you can start sharpening immediately by simply splashing a handful of water on it.
The sharpening feel is close to that of natural whetstones, with good bite on stainless steel and steel, and shallow sharpening scratches are also a characteristic.
The slurry that comes out during sharpening contains abrasive particles, so sharpening with the slurry allows for efficient finishing of the blade edge.
After sharpening, wash off the slurry from the surface of the whetstone and store it nearby without wrapping it in a dry cloth.
Enjoy delicious cooking with sharp knives.
Morihei [Hi] is shipped after rigorous individual inspection. It is also characterized by its ability to be used without problems on steel and stainless steel blades.
This is a new and unused item.
For shipping, due to thickness constraints, the box will be opened and the item will be sent via Nekoposu delivery. We appreciate your understanding.
