This is an original, not a reproduction.
The exact year is unknown, but it is a vintage Tolix from the 1950s-1970s, specified for the French military.
I acquired this during a sourcing trip in France about 20 years ago.
While not definitively confirmed, the local dealer informed me it was a French military specification. The paint is also original from that era.
As it is an old item, there are age-related deteriorations characteristic of metal, such as rust, minor scratches and scuffs, dents, and slight warping.
There is no damage that would impede its use. It has an excellent vintage atmosphere. Please consider this before purchasing.
