Made of blue steel. Handmade by a Japanese blacksmith from the Echizen area. It's really difficult to find iron scissors that were handmade in this modern world.

This Ikenobo (type of shears) was handmade using the traditional method of using boric acid, which is now very rare, by a skilled craftsman from the Echizen region.

There is a Sanjo Senjiro stamp on the blade. It was handmade by a person named Senjiro. Comes with a box.

The beautiful form and excellent sharpness make these a valuable addition to any collection. They are priced low so that they will be used often. Additionally, this item has been further discounted due to minor scuffs on the tips of the handle decorations from long-term storage.

These were found while decluttering items from the storehouse of my family's closed hardware store. We dealt with many authentic cutting tools.
