This is a wonderful parasol, a perfect fusion of Japanese umbrella craftsmanship, the traditional Hamamatsu Chusen dyeing technique, and Tsutae's design.
Made small for women, it is light, easy to hold, and a convenient size to carry around during parasol season.

All patterns are the work of Hamamatsu Chusen artisans.
Chusen is a unique Japanese dyeing technique, still practiced only in Japan today,
and an industry we want to cherish.

It allows for dyeing on both sides with the same color, and features rich, deep, and varied dyeing that takes advantage of the bleeding, blurring, and blending of dyes.

Especially in modern times, we want to incorporate the beauty of Japanese handmade crafts into our daily lives.

The straight pattern is cool, and the tassel can be used as a strap to carry it by hand.
(When opened, a folding umbrella is slightly larger than a long umbrella.)
