Three-year-old seedlings of Water Lily (Nymphaea tetragona) - 2 plants
This is the only native water lily in Japan, Hitsujigusa (Nymphaea tetragona).
The parent plant is from Kyoto Prefecture and has bloomed every year in my home pond for over 15 years.
Photos 1 and 2 show the actual parent plant currently growing.
The plant you will receive is a 3-year-old plant that sprouted in spring 2024, comparable to the one in the photos. It will bloom in 2025, and with proper care, it may even bloom this season.
The condition of the plant varies depending on the season.
From May to October, it will have floating leaves (Photo 3).
From November to February, it will be dormant (Photo 4).
From March to April, the buds will start to move and begin to develop leaves (Photo 5).
We plan to ship via Fourth Class Mail.
