This is a set of two Japanese-patterned cloths.
The pattern on the front is not printed, but is designed by sewing together different fabrics in a patchwork style.
The top is sewn into a tube shape so that a rod can be passed through, making it suitable for use as an interior decoration like a noren (Japanese curtain) or tapestry, or as material for handmade crafts.

As these are old items, there are areas with scuffs and fading.
