Wooden box with glass lid, 2 boxes (can be used as specimen boxes)
540×350×59mm, 2 boxes
Wooden boxes with cork lining.
Received from a member of an entomology club about 3 years ago.
While the size differs from German or paulownia boxes found in specialty insect supply stores, these can be used as specimen boxes.
If the cork bottom is a concern, you can change the look by placing paper underneath or attaching a P.E. foam board.
They have glass lids, making them quite presentable.
One of the two boxes has a crack in the cork, but this does not affect its use for storing specimens.
The airtightness is slightly less than that of official specimen boxes, but they seem suitable for temporary storage.
A faint scent of insect repellent has permeated the boxes since they were acquired.
They appear to be perfectly usable as specimen boxes for school projects or independent research.
