【Non-standard size】Spawning logs, fully ripened, oak, log, stag beetle, rhinoceros beetle, 8 thick pieces
These are logs used for shiitake mushroom cultivation for 3-5 years, cut into pieces.
Made from domestic Konara oak logs.
They are somewhat deteriorated, but would be great for insect breeding.
As shown in the photos, there are variations in size (diameter and length), the extent of mycelial penetration, and individual differences.
They have been sun-dried in the sun for several days before listing.
Insects may be present.
If you are concerned, please heat-treat them before use.
*A mixed assortment of non-standard items (discolored cut surfaces, insect marks, crumbling, bark missing, etc.) will be provided.
? Size
Length: Approximately 14 cm to 15 cm
Diameter: Approximately 8.5 cm to 9.5 cm
Includes 8 pieces.
? Hardness
The wood is soft enough for a toothpick to penetrate near the bark.
Some pieces have the bark peeled off.
*These are logs for shiitake cultivation, with mycelium well-penetrated between the bark, indicating thorough decomposition.
*Can also be used as food for beetle larvae, etc.
*Some people also use them as perches for adult insects.
? Precautions
*As these are fully decomposed logs, parts of the product may be fragile. Please handle with care after receiving.
*Occasionally, Quercus acutissima logs may be mixed in.
*No pest treatment has been applied, so if you are concerned, please heat-treat before use.
*Due to the nature of the product, changes in size and texture, cracks, peeling bark, and the growth of mold or moss may occur over time.
*Ships via anonymous delivery.
