▼ This is a rare and valuable Quercus acutissima (Japanese evergreen oak) buried-in-soil Reishi (Lingzhi mushroom) spawning material, as it is becoming discontinued and out of stock!
▼ We use fresh Quercus acutissima wood from Mie Prefecture, inoculate it with Ganoderma lucidum (Reishi mushroom) spawn, and then bury it in soil to create a product that closely resembles natural conditions.
▼ As shown in the actual product images, the cut surfaces and exterior of the wood are slightly hard due to the Ganoderma lucidum mycelium and attached soil. However, a toothpick can be inserted into the center of the cut surface, and an awl can be inserted normally, indicating a moderately soft texture!
▼ Images 1 and 3, and images 2 and 4 show the cut surfaces flipped upside down.
▼ This is an ideal spawning material for stag beetles such as Lucanus taurus, Aegosoma sinica, Golden Hercules beetle, and Chrysochroa fulminans, as well as difficult species that are reluctant to lay eggs!
▼ It is recommended to set up the spawning environment with a slightly dry condition.
