Japanese Honeybee Langstroth Hive - Honey's House! Slatted Base Set! Free Shipping!
We are releasing this product due to popular demand for a slatted bottom board.
This is a new, unused Japanese honeybee hive box with a sliding entrance, designed for ease of use even for beginners. An instruction manual is included.
Why not try harvesting rare Japanese honeybee honey in your own garden?
Japanese honeybees prefer weathered boxes, so some professionals prepare them a year in advance.

Entrance chamber: Outer dimensions 36cm x 33cm, Inner dimensions 27cm x 27cm, Height 13cm
Product Features
The brood chambers and entrance chamber are made of Kumamoto cedar, with a thickness of 30mm, making them resistant to heat and cold.
The wood is not charred to allow the material to breathe and regulate humidity inside. By creating a more natural environment, we aim to maximize the bees' vitality.
A hive box that easily regulates humidity yields honey with higher sugar content. The comb support bars used in the brood chambers are 8mm thick and fitted into place.
Our hive boxes feature parallel comb support bars, and the brood chambers are stacked so that the bars alternate horizontally and vertically. This arrangement minimizes the presence of bars that bees dislike while providing a structure similar to a grid.
It also makes it easier to insert blades, such as knives, during honey harvesting.
The entrance chamber uses a sliding entrance board, allowing for easy inspection of the interior.
The standard entrance height is 6mm. By inverting the entrance board, you can confine the bees, making transportation convenient.
Please Note
As wood is a natural material, there may be slight variations in knots, grain, or slight shifts of up to ±2mm due to expansion and contraction or manual assembly. We appreciate your understanding.
