Care Mittens for Preventing Removal of Medical Tubes, Handmade, Set of 2
When I started caring for my mother, who requires level 5 long-term care, I used mittens to prevent her from pulling out medical tubes.
However, the commercially available mittens were all the type that felt like pressing your palm against a table tennis racket.
So, I decided to make my own.
I shaped them into a ball using darts. The idea is to gently cover the hand from the wrist down.
There's enough room to play rock-paper-scissors while wearing them.
I chose a floral pattern to make caregiving life a little brighter.
The fabric used is lightweight.
I think it's light and cool.
The material is 100% cotton. (It can be washed at home.)
The size is approximately 36cm from the tip to the end of the wrist, and about 25.5cm in width.
This product does not guarantee complete prevention of medical tube removal.
(My mother did not pull out her tubes while using these mittens.)
We ask that you understand this point before purchasing.
