Hisamatsu Kiln Tokoname Ware Pickling Jar Kame Marutsubo No. 2 with Lid, No Box

This is a Hisamatsu Kiln round jar with a lid, size 2.
Perfect for pickled shallots, pickled plums, and other pickles. ????
This item was found in my parents' storage.
It was in such beautiful condition that I thought it was new,
but judging by the white part on the bottom,
I believe it has been used a few times.
