Shimenawa 31

This shimenawa (sacred rope) is handmade using rice straw from my father's farm.

The straw was harvested in September 2025.
It has a slight greenish hue in places, which has been intentionally left so you can enjoy the natural aroma of the straw.

Please note that as the straw is a natural material, there may be slight variations in color. We appreciate your understanding.

The total length of the shimenawa is approximately 70cm.
The twisted part measures approximately 2cm in diameter.

The shide (paper streamers) are also handmade.
They are said to be inspired by the shape of lightning.

For easy hanging, simple hemp cords are attached to both ends. These can be removed if desired.

The shimenawa will be shipped in a Nekoposu (Japanese mail service) box, with the shide attached, and will be gently curved into a circular shape for shipping.

We may trim the ends slightly during packing to help maintain the shape.

Upon arrival, please hold both ends of the shimenawa and gently bend it up and down to restore its shape.

We hope this shimenawa brings you good fortune.
